Mission and Mandate

WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS OF MANITOBA
WINNIPEG CHAPTER ("WBO")

We are women business owners sharing in our successes and mentoring other women business owners. We strive to increase awareness of the importance of women in business and to celebrate the Women Entrepreneurs at our annual Women Entrepreneur Awards Night, held each spring. We are an eclectic group of women business owners with the emphasis on being a woman owning her own business, striving towards personal success. We offer a network base to draw from for other women business owners.

VISION

We are a highly visible network encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship, achievement and success in business.

MISSION

The Women Business Owners of Manitoba, Winnipeg Chapter, supports and inspires excellence, learning and growth in business.

GOALS

  • To establish an effective networking system by which our members can connect with other women business owners.

  • To nurture and support personal growth for our members.

  • To offer a support system unique to the needs of women business owners.

  • To liaise with related organizations and groups.

  • To serve as a voice of influence for women business owners.

The Mandate of WBOM Winnipeg Chapter is:

1. STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
To further develop strategic alliances and raise the profile and voice of women who own businesses.

2. NETWORKING
To create the environment for members to develop professional relationships.

3. COMMUNICATION
To effectively communicate who we are and what we do and be the organization of choice for women who own businesses and those associated with them.

4. TECHNOLOGY
To use progressive technology to enhance the overall organizations’ mandate.

5. MEMBERSHIP
To expand and retain membership by providing quality services relevant to their priorities and needs.

6. FINANCIAL
To maintain financial stability.

7. ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
To effectively use the organization structure currently in place and evaluate and change as required.
