Membership Requirements and Fees

Incorporated - Fees: $380.00 + $19.00 (5% GST) = $399.00

This sub-category is open to corporations in which the voting shares of the corporation are owned by a woman who is an equal or a 50% (or more) shareholder. This sub-category of membership shall be voting in that the corporation in which the woman or women is/are a shareholder(s) shall have one vote. For greater certainty and by way of example, should a corporation have two women shareholders, the two shareholders shall collectively be entitled to only one vote.

Sole Proprietorship - Fees: $380.00 + $19.00 (5% GST) = $399.00

This sub-category is open to self-employed women who have a unique registered business and sell a unique product or service (not a direct seller). This sub-category of membership shall be voting.

Partnership - Fees: $380.00 + $19.00 (5% GST) = $399.00 (Per Partner)

This sub-category is open to women who have a 50% or equal interest in that partnership. This class of membership shall be voting in that the partnership in which the woman is a partner shall have one vote. For greater certainty and by way of example, should a partnership have two women partners who are both members of WBO, the two partners shall collectively be entitled to only one vote.

Franchise - Fees: $380.00 + $19.00 (5% GST) = $399.00

This sub-category is open to women who are owners of a franchise business. This sub-category of membership shall be voting.

Direct Seller - Fees: $380.00 + $19.00 (5% GST) = $399.00

This sub-category is open self-employed women who sell a product or service for a larger organization using that organization’s name for marketing, etc. This sub-category of membership shall be voting.

Corporate Supporter - Fees: $1,500.00 + $75.00 (5% GST) = $1,575.00

This sub-category is open to large corporations with numerous shareholders and who wish to support women business owners of Manitoba. This class of membership shall be non¬-voting.

Friends - Fees: $380.00 + $19.00 (5% GST) = $399.00

This sub-category is open to a woman who does not own a business or who is not actively employed or who is a student or retired, and who wishes to support women business owners of Manitoba. This class of membership shall be non¬-voting.
